Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst will provide support to the procurement and supply chain operations within the power generation and oilfield equipment packaging business. This role is responsible for sourcing goods and services while ensuring the best value in terms of quality, price, and lead time. The Supply Chain Analyst will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and management to meet project requirements while optimizing costs and efficiency.
This position will be onsite daily, located in Waller, TX.
Responsibilities:
• Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Identify the best procurement channel and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships at all levels.
• Assist in contract analysis, preparation, and vendor transition processes.
• Support vendor onboarding, including setup and purchase order requests through supplier relationship management tools.
• Escalate complex supply chain issues to the Supply Chain Supervisor as needed.
• Ensure vendor reporting is accurate, timely, and meets operational requirements.
• Maintain and update the Approved Supplier List (ASL) with input from operations.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production needs.
• Coordinate with vendors to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and address any supply chain disruptions.
• Track vendor performance and recommend adjustments or modifications as necessary.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of procurement processes and cost-saving initiatives.
• Perform additional supply chain-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Associate’s degree (2-year) or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
• Experience with Oracle ERP (or similar procurement systems).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while utilizing all available resources.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
• Office-based role with occasional visits to supplier or manufacturing sites.
• Manual dexterity required for computer use and office tasks.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Some overtime may be required based on project demands.
